Pickled cabbage may seem like a good thing to feed ducks. However, the vinegar, salt, and sugar the cabbage is bathing in aren’t good. The vinegar is acidic and upsets their stomach. The salt dehydrates them and causes kidney problems. Sugar has a lot of calories without providing any beneficial nutrients and instead causes obesity. Stay away from pickled cabbage.
4. Not feeding in moderation
Although it might be tempting to give a lot of cabbage to your ducks, it comes with a disadvantage. Since it is inexpensive and provides so much nutritional value, it’s easy to go overboard.
